Modern World History:

Course Description:  War, terrorism, poverty, ethnic genocide, nuclear proliferation and climate change.  These are just some of the problems facing a world you are about to inherit.  They're our problems today, but they'll be your problems tomorrow.  Modern World History studies the historical development of these problems and develops the critical thinking and literacy skills necessary for your generation to solve them.   We'll study global history from 1750 to the present with a focus on the attainment of rights, growth of democracy, industrialization, nationalism, capitalism, impact of war and conflict, revolutions, imperialism/colonization, socialism/communism, totalitarianism, and fascism.
