My name is Justin Galusha and I am the Lead Teacher of the Social Studies department at Weymouth High School.  I currently teach AP Psychology and Psychology as a Science to juniors and seniors. I also work as an adjunct professor of educational technology at Eastern Nazarene College and a teacher of Western Heritage for the LEAD program at ENC.  I am the co-founder of Galusha Meader Methods, a professional development provider focused on helping educators hone their 21st century skill instruction.

Background
I graduated in 2001 from  Eastern  Nazarene College with degrees in both History and Secondary Education. In 2006, I completed my Masters in Education through Fitchburg state college.  In addition to this program, my continuing education has also allowed me to be trained by the College Board to teach both AP European and AP Psychology.

 Professional Activities

- As Lead Teacher of the Social studies Department I am in charge of scheduling and curriculum oversight for a department of 20 members.

- I was the chair of Weymouth High School's Design 21, a faculty lead initiative to redesign one of the state's largest high schools.  Through our work we created the school's career academies, instituted school-wide rubrics on core 21st century skills, launched a community service graduation requirement, and designed a senior capstone project for all of our exiting seniors.  Our work has since gathered national attention and started many reform discussions at other schools.

-  Throughout my career I have also taught Modern World History to 9th grade students, United States history to at-risk learners in our Evening School, and AP European.

Family
My wife Mindy, also a teacher at Weymouth High School, and I have two children, Isabella and Desmond, and reside in Weymouth, MA.
