Thursday 2/26 - We will take the Unit 8 exam on Motivation, Emotion and Stress.
Your Unit 8 Concept Map is due along with the MFA FRQ as well. (While it may seem like a long time since we have studied this unit together, it will also be a long time from September to May 4th. Consider it good practice.)
Friday 2/27, Monday 3/2 and Tuesday 3/3 - I will take your questions on Unit 9 as well as going over concepts/terms not covered in your text. As I have communicated previously, these snowpocalypse days were great for active reading. It is thus my firm assumption that ALL students will come to class on Friday having read 365-398 (ETs 9-1 through 9-9). You must show either notes or concept map drafts on Friday. This reading check will be worth 50 pts and must be inclusive of 9-1 through 9-9. You must come with multiple questions that you want answered and I would recommend having read through the unit PowerPoints as well.
Wednesday 3/3 - We will resume the schedule on our course calendar and begin Unit 10 talking about Freud. The Free Association Demo scheduled for Tuesday will be done after the AP exam.
Monday 3/9 - Your Unit 9 Concept Map and Unit 9 Project will be due.
Why are we handling Unit 9 this way?
As far as I know, the May 4th test date is not going to change. There is no way for us to absorb 13 days into the calendar. So we can either A. Squeeze Developmental Psychology back into the schedule and weaken the instruction for the rest of the units or B. Have you do a guided study on this unit. Since Developmental Psychology is 7-9% of the exam, I am going to go with option B.
